Metrourile IVA au fost articole in mare parte la Astra Arad, acestea preluand o mare parte din experienta din acel moment a Japonezilor in domeniul metrourilor. Viteza maxima declarata este de 80 km/h, insa metroul este capabil sa prinda peste 100km/h.
